Because of the strong growth in the offshore renewables market, the division is expanding and is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer Offshore. As a Electrical Project Engineer Offshore you’ll become part of a department which is responsible for LV (low voltage) and HV (high voltage) design, integration and commissioning of electrical installations on EPCI, cable & WTG foundation projects. In your role as Electrical Project Engineer Offshore you will report back to the responsible package manager regarding the progress of the design and the planning. You will coordinate with other internal stakeholders to secure inputs on time.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Jan De Nul Group has been focussing on specific offshore services for the oil, gas and renewable energy market for many years. These services can be divided as follows: intervention works at the sea bottom, rock installation and ballasting, installation of offshore wind parks, subsea cables and umbilicals.
You have a bachelor or master degree in electrical engineering and are interested in working with electrical design for wind farms. You have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
You have extensive relevant technical design experience (ex. with basic cabinet design and standards). You have practical experience in LV and HV power system design and studies, calculations, equipment sizing and specifications.You have practical experience with tools like ETAP, Dialux, Eplan, Digsilent power factory, etc and extensive experience with relevant international standards.
You speak and write fluently in English. You have an international mindset, able to work in cross-disciplinary teams and cooperate with colleagues and external business partners. You have a strong analytical approach, enabling you to handle a range of complex tasks quickly.
