Contract Manager Offshore Renewables (Graduate)

For years, Jan De Nul Group offers specialized services for the installation of offshore structures for the renewable energy markets. Together with our civil and marine activities, we offer a total package to our customers: installation of offshore wind farms, subsea cables and umbilicals, intervention works on the seabed, as well as rock installation and ballasting. Everything is always tailored to the needs of the client and on an EPC-basis (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) if required.

To support our growing offshore renewables activities and projects, we want to strengthen our Contract Managements team and hire an enthusiastic and self-motivated young graduate.

We offer an exciting young graduate traineeship program opportunity supported by training, to learn all about the Jan De Nul Group to develop yourself and become in later stage a Contracts Manager. We foresee a 12-month training program where you will have the opportunity to develop valuable knowledge within different departments, mainly in our Contract Management and Tender Engineering teams. During this period, you will build extensive experience, assisting the colleagues on offshore renewable energy projects, with also the opportunity to travel abroad to one of our projects. When further gaining your understanding within the wider business unit and building up responsibilities, you can launch your career within contract management support the global green energy transition.

By becoming an integral part of the project management team your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding the contractual and technical documents identifying risks and opportunities
  • Drafting contractual correspondence
  • Negotiation and agreement of variations
  • Drafting, negotiation and agreement of subcontracts and suppliers
  • Participation in meetings with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Consultation in addressing issues as they arise
  • Learning about offshore construction methodologies
  • All other aspects of project management, such as HSE, program and delay analysis.

Do you want to be part of our international team? Working together with experienced colleagues with base location in Aalst (Hofstade), Belgium. You are also willing to travel abroad occasionally to support your worldwide maritime and renewable energy projects.

Profile

You possess a higher degree within Law, Engineering, Finance (ex. business engineering, economics) or quantity surveying and are eager to learn and progress your career within contracts management. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to quickly build your network and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You are also able to work independently and take ownership to develop your knowledge and skills.

You speak fluently in English, other languages are an asset.
