Equipment Technician
We are currently seeking skilled and versatile individuals to join our team as a Survey Technician. In this role, you will be part of the team that keeps the installations in good working condition onboard of our dredging and offshore fleet. You work on location and on board as well as from the headquarters in Aalst.
Responsibilities:
- Interventions onboard of the fleet (worldwide) to implement new standards, perform maintenance and troubleshoot problems.
- Contribute to the continued development of the survey standard for interfacing of the survey setup onboard of the fleet.
- Prepare interventions from head office both for yourself and other colleagues.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of survey equipment, systems, and software.
- Responsible for the completeness and the update of the documentation of the survey installation on board of the vessels
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Survey Mared team to ensure our main fleet setup is in top working conditions.
- Ensure compliance with survey standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of survey processes and workflows.
Profile
Affinity with electronic systems, ICT and electrical installations combined with a hands-on mentality. Proficiency in survey equipment, software is a plus. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Willingness and flexibility to travel, with at least 40% of the time spent abroad and 60% at our headquarters in Aalst. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
