Jan De Nul Group is so much more than just Jan (Pieter) De Nul. Brother Dirk, daughter Julie and son Pieter Jan are part of the management team. The group has been a family business from the start. And it still is. The future is guaranteed.

Both generations of De Nul are closely involved with all activities of the company every day and choose their own emphases.

Jan Pieter De Nul is an entrepreneur ‘pur sang’. An energetic combination of well-reasoned guts and the permanent willpower to bring matters to a favourable conclusion. His vision resulted in exponential growth of the company. His focus currently lies on the ship’s activities. Every day, Mr. Japy (as we call him) closely follows the daily report of all offshore ships and dredgers (85!) and seeks solutions to optimise production.

Dirk De Nul is mainly concerned with the civil branch of the group. This discipline was the company’s origin and is close to his heart. He also focusses on a healthy and sporty lifestyle. A vision he also propagates professionally: he gets employees excited about taking part in sports activities such as Climbing for Life. Since 2014 Mr. Dirk has always been part of the JDN team going into the mountains to raise money for charity.

Just like her father, Julie De Nul believes that the strength of a company is its good employees. Driven, she continues to search for the right man or woman at the right place. Employees who stand out among the average, who dare to think outside the box and thus come to creative solutions, who maintain the company’s position as a world player.

Pieter-Jan De Nul focuses on international shipyards worldwide. He closely follows the operational side of the sites and actively helps seek potential customers and challenging projects for the company. The urge to grow and find cross-border projects is clearly in his blood.
