Trainer Dredging & Offshore

All trainings within Jan De Nul Group are clustered in the Jan De Nul Academy. This umbrella organisation offers courses to various departments. The trainings are based on the career of the employee: after a starters training, everyone receives a training programme mapped out by function.

As a Trainer you are responsible for the organisation and teaching of own in-house theoretical and practical dredging and offshore trainings. Together with your team you aim to increase the level of knowledge of the staff and crew members (mate, pipe operator, superintendent dredging works etc.)

Your tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Elaborate course subjects, training material and e-learning modules in the context of the Jan De Nul Academy.
  •  Provide classroom trainings about dredging techniques and the dredging process.
  • Prepare and provide simulation trainings (eg. process simulator of the trailing suction hopper dredgers, cutter suction dredgers, crane pontoons and rock installation vessels).
  • Maintain and share knowledge by means of site visits.
  • Follow up and monitor the training programme of the employees.
  • Receive and mentor new staff members and organise the trainings they need.

Profile

Experience or a strong affinity with the dredging/maritime industry is a big plus for this function since most trainings are focused on the practice (dredging process, dredging techniques etc.) To develop/maintain this you are willing to make international trips to go aboard our vessels.
