Its subsidiary company Envisan is Jan De Nul Group’s testing ground for innovative processing techniques and environmental technology solutions, and even more: a stepping stone towards a circular world. The remediation of contaminated sites, the processing of excavated soil, solving environmental problems in ports, canals and watercourses, as well as the sustainable development of brownfields ensure win-win situations for both the environment and the client.
For the optimal support of Envisan’s environmental activities, we are currently looking for a QHSSE Advisor who will take care of the aspects of health, safety, quality, security, and environment during all phases of a project. You strive for a balance between the preservation of our QHSSE management systems, the requirements of the clients and the regulations and legislation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
You have a master’s degree in a study programme on technical, safety or environmental matter or you are equivalent through experience. The possession of a master in prevention management is an advantage. Additionally, knowledge of the French terminology regarding environmental legislation and/or knowledge of the environmental legislation in Wallonia and Brussels is a plus. You are perfectly bilingual (French-English or French-Dutch). Junior profiles also qualify for this function.
You are results-oriented, proactive and good in setting priorities and planning tasks. You have a practical and hands-on mentality. You communicate fluently and you can coach and guide people. You have a problem-solving mind-set and are a dynamic team player who can work in a no-nonsense environment.
You will work from our office in Aalst and will make regular trips to our sites in Wallonia and France. Short business trips are no problem for you.
