The Jan De Nul Group Legal Department advises the various divisions within Jan De Nul Group. This results in very diverse legal advice for our dredging, civil, environmental and our offshore activities. You work as a generalist for all divisions and you go into particulars where necessary.
We are looking for a corporate lawyer to support our civil, dredging and offshore departments. You contribute, amongst other things, to the realization of complex civil construction works, PPS projects and to the development of dredging and offshore projects worldwide.
As a corporate lawyer at Jan De Nul Group, you actively participate in the identification and efficient management of contractual and legal risks related to projects. You work closely with your peers and with the technical, operational and financial department. You will be involved in the contract negotiations. In your function, you do not only take care of legal interests, but you also take into account the technical and commercial aspects.
Your main responsibilities are:
You have a Master’s degree in Law with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in the domain of construction projects and with public procurement. You are willing to make short business trips abroad.
You are analytical with a strong interest in technology. You are well-attuned to the strategy of the business partners for whom you work and you provide proactive and solution-oriented advice. You establish contacts easily, you are able to collaborate efficiently and you adopt a flexible and pragmatic approach, whilst taking into account the company policy. You can work independently and, depending on the cases, you also regularly work with colleagues in order to achieve results. Experience with international contracts such as FIDIC is a plus. You speak and write fluent English and Spanish and have a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
