Engineer Marine Environmental Department

Jan De Nul Group is aware of the fact that its activities, dredging and offshore, often take place in very sensitive environments. The in-house marine environmental department follows up projects during every phase of the project, anywhere in the world. High tech equipment results in high end measurements. Apart from protecting biodiversity, there is also a preventive search for new methods of minimising negative impact and options for positive contributions to ecosystems.

As an engineer at our marine environmental department you are responsible for drawing up project dossiers regarding environmental monitoring and management. In addition, you are responsible for its follow up during the execution of the work.

  • During the procurement phase you work on the preparatory dossier studies: preparing method statements and cost estimates.
  • You implement and follow up the presupposed procedures.
  • You are the contact point for the engineers working on the project (abroad).
  • You assist with modelling and material management.
